How do I get replacement parts?
The "Replacement Parts" section of our website lists all the replacement parts we offer.
Can I make calls using Outdoor Tech products?
Yes, all Bluetooth products have a built-in microphone so you can make calls.
What is the range of Outdoor Tech's Bluetooth products?
Most of our Bluetooth products have a maximum range of approximately 30 ft. The exact range for a specific product can be found on each product's web page.
What is the battery life of Outdoor Tech products?
It depends on the product. Larger products like the Turtle Shell typically last 20 hours on a single charge. Headphone chips have a battery life of about 14 hours. Rechargeable products like the Kodiak vary in battery life depending on what you charge. Product-specific details can be found on the product's webpage.
Is it waterproof and sweatproof?
Our products have different waterproof levels. All our products are at least IPX3 waterproof level or higher. However, most of our products are IPX6 or higher. For more information about our products, please visit our product webpage.
What is the difference between a Yowie and an Arctic Yowie?
The former helps you get warmer, the latter helps you get warmer. In more technical terms, the Arctic Yowie comes with a fleece extender that gives you an extra warm and cozy feel.
Bluetooth pairing
Is it compatible with my device?
Compatible with almost all devices with Bluetooth technology. Whether it's a laptop, desktop, crop top, carrot top, phone, bone, lawn, tablet, phablet, or any other device with Bluetooth, our product should work fine.
How do I pair my Outdoor Tech product with my iPhone?
First, put your product into pairing mode: for most products, press and hold the multi-function button for 6-8 seconds. If your product doesn't have a separate power button, from the off position, press and hold the multi-function button for 6-8 seconds or until the red and blue lights flash. (Product-specific details can be found in your product's manual.)
Next, search for Bluetooth devices on your phone.
When the Outdoor Tech product appears, connect to it.
Pairing is now complete.
Can I pair multiple devices at once?
Most of our devices can be paired with multiple devices (e.g. phone and laptop), but can only be connected and streaming audio to one device at a time.
I can't pair my Chips Ultra.
You may need to reset your Chips Ultra, instructions for doing so can be found here .
Shipping
Can you ship overseas?
Delivery is only available within Japan and Korea.
How do I track my shipment?
Please check your email. You should have received a message with your receipt and tracking number. If you can't find it, please check your spam folder. You can also log into your account on our website to find your tracking number. If you can't find it, please email us at sales@outdoortech.com.
Where is your company located?
We're based in Tokyo, Japan and are locals who love the outdoors, so you'll often find us on the slopes during ski season and hiking in the summer.
What is your return policy?
Products purchased from OutdoorTechnology.jp may be returned within 30 days of the purchase date.
Shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.
Refunds are usually processed within 10 business days.
All products come with a one year warranty against defects. If you purchased your Outdoor Tech product from an authorized dealer, please follow the dealer's refund policy.
Are there any products that cannot be returned?
Yes, all apparel products are non-returnable.
